David Hilton (1938-2005) grew up in California and lived for most of his adult life in the Baltimore area where he taught for more than thirty years at Anne Arundel Community College. His criticism appeared in the Baltimore Sun and his poetry was published in limited editions by small presses, in major anthologies including Poetry 180, and in numerous literary magazines and journals including The Yale Review and Poetry magazine.
