On my last visit to New York City I wandered into Posman Books in Grand Central Station. What a great location for a terrific bookstore! With so many commuters and tourists passing through the station this bookstore really knows how to lure in readers. Before too long I had a pile of books and gifts I wanted to buy. Since it was just my first stop of the day they offered to hold everything for me.

My favorite new book is “New York: a 3D Keepsake Cityscape” by Sarah Mcmenemy. As the design and production manager at Coffee House Press, I can attest that the production of this book far exceeds it small price tag of $8.99. How did they make such a complicated book for so little?! Plus, it comes in its own slipcase.
New York’s five-foot skyline now resides in my Minneapolis office. Someday I’ll have to collect Mcmenemy’s other books on Washington, London, and Paris.
